Quickchannel have been helping clients with streaming and online video platforms since 2001. Our new feature – streamkey – offers new exciting ways to integrate with platforms such as Pexip, Skype for Business, Cisco and Synergy Sky.
With this feature, a videoconference host can use a unique streamkey which allows Quickchannel to automatically create recording/broadcasting programs, in the correct user account with security and customizable branding. The streamkey technology can be applied in the following scenarios:
- Pexip auto-dial – virtual meeting rooms that automatically records
- Wowza GoCoder – mobile live streaming from your smartphone to your account
- Wirecast and OBS broadcasters – simplified workflow at live events
- Recording scheduled from Outlook – integration coming soon with Synergy Sky
- QC Solid – Next generation Quickchannel Encoders
- Cisco CMS – Record and live stream from Cisco CMS to Quickchannel
Pexip auto-dial – virtual meeting rooms that automatically records
With streamkey you can setup your Pexip VMR to auto dial to Quickchannel. For the end users it means that they simply join the VMR and it will automatically start recording. No button to push. Every recording has:
- Unique program ID
- Unique viewer link for both live and on-demand
- Date and time of recording
- Account branding and security
- Automatic publish
This simplifies workflow for the end users on video conferencing units, Skype for Business users, and corporations that need recording for legal compliance.
Wowza GoCoder – mobile live streaming from your smartphone
With Wowza GoCoder application and streamkey we can enable your organization to get mobile streaming available from any smartphone. The set-and-forget configuration makes it easier than ever to use mobile streaming. The end user only need to launch GoCoder and press start on their smartphone to create video content safe and secure to his Quickchannel account. Every broadcast has a unique unique viewer link that remains same for live and on demand viewing.
Wirecast and OBS broadcasters – simplified workflow at live events
Wirecast and OBS broadcasters and producers simply use their streamkey for each customer project – enabling a much easier workflow to support the producers. To do a test broadcast, simply start a stream and in turn this will generate a separate program in Quickchannel. No need to manually set up streaming programs. We know that this will save a lot of time and we are proud and happy to offer this for our producers.
Recording scheduled from Outlook – integration coming soon with Synergy Sky
Recording scheduled from Outlook – yes you read correctly. This is a integration and development project together with Synergy Sky Meeting Server that can schedule recording and streaming straight from Outlook. The solution will be able to automatically read who the host is and what title the booking has and create a recording and live streaming project in Quickchannel for the correct user account – then automatically start and stop the recording and live stream on time. More info coming soon…
QC Solid – Next generation Quickchannel Encoders
We will soon replace our Windows based Quickchannel Encoders with a new – more modern and secure solution. Quickchannel Solid is a compact hardware encoder, perfect to use with a professional camera or cameras and ready broadcast with your Quickchannel account.

With the streaming and recording license for your Cisco CMS you can now set up virtual meeting rooms and start and stop recording and live streams with DTMF tones straight on your Cisco touch pad.
